Savitri, Sri Aurobindo's epic poem on Yoga, is a reference book on meditation, spirituality and modern Hinduism. It is a unique instance of mystic poetry in modern literature, echoing the Mahabharata (which contains the original Savitri tale), the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishad and the Veda.
This site offers articles in Italian and English, focusing both on the poem and on the practice of Integral Yoga Savitri is all about: meditation, concentration and contemplation.
As there are many web sites in English providing generic information on Savitri, the English section of this site only contains (unlike the Italian section) original notes and articles. For general information on Savitri please see the Links page or the excellent site Savitri by Sri Aurobindo. For other information on Sri Aurobindo (Aravinda Ghose) and on the Mother (Mère, Mirra Alfassa) please see the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville sites.
